The CCO also deploys their empathic perspective to identify and apply innovations having positive impact. these great practices can change for the better the future direction of the company.
HOW DID THE CARING INITIATIVE START?
after working with several large corporations in the US, the founder RAPIDLY SAW A GAP IN CSR STRATEGIES AND DECIDED TO RESEARCH THE SUBJECT. she observed three main models: large corporation who have a foundation, corporation with a csr manager or director and corporations that have a marketing or communications staff also covering CSR topics - none of these models provided a Platform for an executive position in the field of Caring - IN 2008, WHo CAREs!? WAS BORN WITH THE OBJECTIVE TO CREATE AND PROMOTE A NEW LEADERSHIP ROLE WITHIN THE CORPORATE WORLD: THE CHIEF CARE OFFICER
WHO CAN BE A CHIEF CARE OFFICER?
Preferably, The CCO is also the CEO...but it can also be one the members of the executive team or for the more forward corporations a founding executive member. our hope for this position is that it becomes the norm in the coming years.
WHAT IS A COMMUNITY CHIEF CARE OFFICER?
When Who Cares!? Chronicles was initiated, the aim was to feature and document all the great corporate social responsibility practices and also to feature the people that created them and put them into motion. WE soon realized that these people; Chief Care Officers could not only be found in corporations but also in our communities, in our schools and in our streets. People that place caring practices into motion in our cities. People that innovate by implementing regular social movements that change the shape of our communities and could potentially change the face of our streets and even our countries. In our very streets, every day, we have community heroes achieving tremendous impact: providing relief and volunteering their time. Whether it is families offering to host refugees in their homes in Germany, teachers in India that choose to provide education on makeshift chalkboard on the streets of New Delhi or individuals turning part of their homes into after-school centers offering free classes and meals to underprivileged children; Chief Care Officers are everywhere.
HOW CAN I JOIN THE CARING INITIATIVE?
